Headaches
Headache disorders are one of the most commonly reported nervous system disorders worldwide. The current worldwide headache prevalence among adults is estimated to be about 50%, meaning that a person has been symptomatic at least once within the last year. The prevalence among women is over twice as high as it is among men. In US adults, stress is thought to be the number one cause of headaches. Headaches can be severe, painful and debilitating. The symptoms of headaches vary due to your surrounding environment. Sometimes it feels like your brain is going to throb out of your head; however the brain is not the source of your symptoms. Rather, the pain is felt from the nerves, blood vessels and muscles that cover the head, neck, shoulders and other body parts.
